I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off 2024 than by collecting aerials of the maiden voyage of the largest cruise ship in the world. Jake @WeflyAerialMedia reached out about this venture, and I was happy to hop on-board with a few other talented drone operators in order to have 5 drones in the air (3x inspire 3’s, 2x mavic’s) simultaneously live-streaming the arrival of the Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas as it entered the Port of Miami for the first time. Along the journey from Puerto Rico to Miami, we also collected additional content for the Royal Caribbean marketing team for a few campaigns they will be releasing throughout the year. It’s always a fun variable to operate and land on a moving vessel, but fortunately it was another well orchestrated aerial dance that went off without a hitch.
